Ne Voglio Ancora

Our friend Kelly is eating her way through Italy. A little Eat, Pray, Love deal. She is always posting pictures of the most delish looking food, teasing us Americans who are stuck with Olive Garden to feed our cravings. So, I've decided to give into said craving and make a little Italian for dinner.

This is a healthier version of the Rachael Ray recipe.

Ahhh Perfection! I've got some left overs if you'd like to come by and try some. :)

Anita's baby shower

I love entertaining friends and I'm always looking for an excuse to throw a party. So when I heard my old roommate and good friend Anita is pregnant and going to be in town from Utah, I jumped at the chance to throw a shower in her honor. Here are a few pictures...
I saw these cute pom poms on Martha Stewarts website and I've been dieing to make some. I love the way they turned out!
A while ago my mom and I went to Wildflower Bread co for lunch. I had blackberry peach lemonade, it was so delish. I've searched over and over for a copycat recipe but I've always come up empty until now. Andrea and I tried a few times to get this right. It was worth it! I got so many complements.
We also made yummy chocolate cupcakes
We found these cute Black and White and Red velvet cookies. They were a sweet way to say "Thank You for coming"

Jeffreys March Maddness Party

The BiRtHdAy BoY

Who doesn't love birthday presents

I guess not everyone loves presents

Somebody loves marshmallows

Jeffy's little helper

The Clawson's have a tradition of eating Mickey Mouse waffles with chocolate syrup every saturday. Now we can too

We love our friends and family.

Aren't these girls so cute!

And finally the reason we all were happy at the end of the night, the Candy Bracket.
CANDY!

Easter Fabric Wreath

Our door was in desperate need of a little something Easter and thanks to the inspiration found in the Moda Bake Shop I knew exactly what I wanted to make.

One of my besties Melinda came right over and we made our very own version. We couldn't find the exact fabric from the Moda Recipe so we improvised with some brightly colored spring fabric instead.

I just love all the pink and yellow. Two of my favorite color combos.

Table redo

I feel like I’ve WAITED SO LONG to finally post these pictures.
Here is my completely redone $12.00 table.

A little distressing with my medium sanding block by 3M did the trick.

This new Behr paint and primer was amazing! After sanding down my table, It only took two coats to give this table a clean shabby chic finish. After allowing my paint to dry I took my sanding block around the edges and roughed things up a bit. Next, I took the advice of my fav. craft bloggers and used Ralf Lauren stain in Smoke, just to give it a vintage looking finish.

ALl in all I'm excited to have this new piece in our little apartment.

Gotta love half off saturday at Goodwill

After a full year of searching Goodwill for treasures, I finally have a success story to tell. This past Saturday (50% off day, which they do every other week) I struck gold. Not only did I find a cute tv stand but I finally found a coffee table too. Two deals in one day. LOVE IT!
I promise to share my furniture redo as soon as I find my camera. Its a bad time for Nick (that's my cameras name, because its a canon) to go missing. Please come back Nick. I miss you :(

Samples

Yesterday Jeff and I went to Costco for our favorite lunch time treat, a hotdog and soda for only $1.50. Like everyone else, we love walking around and checking out all food samples. With the 4th of July weekend approaching there was SO much food that we ended up only getting a drink because we were so full. Needless to say, Jeff is now an even bigger fan of Costco.
